1945 Bonnie 2015

Bonnie Rae (Ferris) Perkins

March 12, 1945 — June 16, 2015

Bonnie Rae Perkins of Springville returned to her Heavenly Home Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in American Fork, Utah. She was born in Provo on March 12, 1945 to Elaine Ila Ewell while her father LaVar Edmund Ferris was overseas fighting in World War II. This Shirley Temple-esque baby aged beautifully, and without meaning to, grew into the very image of an auburn Barbie Doll.
After graduating from Springville High School, completing some college courses, having a couple of marriages and babies, she met the love of her life, Ted Thomas Perkins. Bonnie and Ted married one month later on August 26, 1977. She was sealed to Ted in the Manti Temple on November 13, 2001.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother (Eddie), and husband Ted. After Bonnie’s loss of Ted in 1982, she raised her children, Darren (Charlette) Henrie, Michael (Amber) Christensen, Melissa (Daniel) Cloward, and Daniel (Krista) Perkins with love and kindness. She is survived by 11 grandchildren, her brother Renny (Esther) Ferris, sister Nancy (Bill) Haines, and brother Terry (Carolee) Ferris.
A viewing in her honor will be held Friday, June 19 from 6pm to 8 pm at Wheeler Mortuary in Springville. Funeral services will take place Saturday, June 20 at 11am in Salem at the church on 25 W Apple Blossom Way. She will be laid to rest next to Ted at the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville.
