C. Jack Windley

C. Jack Windley was born in Ogden, UT, October 6, 1933. He was the son of Rue George Windley and Josephine Snyder. His siblings are: Fred Windley (deceased), Mary Jane Reynolds, Betty Gay Young (deceased), Robert Windley, and Lawrence Windley. He married Carol Sumsion in July 1953. They had one daughter, Teri Averett (Jerry), two grandchildren Lyn (Kristen) and Ayn Averett, and 5 great-grandchildren. They made their home in Springville.

He was very involved in the community as one of the charter members and past president of Springville Rotary Club. He coached little league and pony league baseball and helped establish youth football in Springville. He worked for Springville City, beginning as a police officer and retiring as water superintendent. He was a member of Rural Water Users Association as well as the Western States Water Association and served as a past president in both organization. He was a member of the 20-30 club.

After his wife Carol died in 2004 of cancer, he married Norma Brown. She passed away in May 2013. Over the years Jack's hobbies have been hunting, fishing, traveling with family and cooking with his wife Carol.

A viewing will be held, Tuesday, June 27 from 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S, Springville, UT. Burial will be in the Historic Springville City Cemetery.
