Esther Rowena (Houtz) Parry
June 23, 1925 — July 10, 2015
Our devoted & loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, & wife, Esther Rowena Houtz Parry, 90, passed away on July 10, 2015. She was born on June 23, 1925 in Mapleton, Utah to Austin & Martha Allan Houtz. She married William C. Parry on May 31, 1949 in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Esther was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, having served as a missionary in the Central States Mission & in many other church callings.
Esther enjoyed many activities with her family. She was also a talented seamstress & made many beautiful quilts.
Esther is survived by 4 daughters: Kathlyn Shauklas (Vic), Janice Kitchen (Tom), Diane Crookston, & Colleen Cooke (Jeff); 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, & sister-in-law June Houtz. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 4 sisters & 1 brother.
A viewing will be held from 12:30 - 1:45 prior to the funeral services to be held at 2:00 on Sat., July 18, 2015 at the white church in Mapleton, 31 W. Maple St. Interment will be at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
