Helene Darlene (Wall) Davis

Helene Darlene Wall Davis, 82, passed away on November 14, 2017 of causes related to age. She was born on March 12, 1935 to Ernest Vern Wall and Naomi Allred Wall. She married Thomas Nichols Davis on December 18, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple. Her sweetheart passed away in 2001. She is survived by her five children; Tauni (Ken) Wells, Terri (Mike) Chase, Trina (Steve) Chase, Tracy (Rick) Miller, and Lindsey Davis (Erin); 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Helene graduated from the University of Utah as a registered nurse and worked in that capacity until she retired. Her service included work as an OB nurse, running with the Springville ambulance team, teaching health care classes at Payson High School, and serving as a school nurse in the Alpine School District. Helene loved music and sang with the Springville Musettes for many years. Next to her love for family, her love for animals exceeded all others. She loved her pets and cherished their companionship.

Helene’s family was the primary focus in her life. Her face lit up every time a family member (especially a grandchild) would stop by for a visit. She has always had a quick wit and friendly smile to all who came in contact with her. The most repeated phrase she uttered was, “I love my family.” We love you too, Mom. She will be sorely missed until we are reunited again.

Our family would like to express our gratitude and love to the kind and loving staff at River Meadows in Alpine. She had a genuine love for all the CNAs who showed her such compassion. A viewing will be held on Friday, November 17, from 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM. The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM. Services will be held at the Alpine Utah West Stake Center, 327 S Long Drive, Alpine, Utah and conducted by Wheeler Mortuary. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah.
