Iris Darlene (Griffiths) Osborn

Iris Darlene Griffiths Osborn died October 19th, 2017 in Springville, Utah. She was born on September 27, 1930 in Beaver Utah to Paul and Ronella Davis Griffiths. She grew up on a dairy farm in Adamsville, Utah milking cows and riding horses. She was her father's best hand and also the race queen at Dairy District Derby horse races for the 24th of July celebrations.
She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life Robert Dean Osborn August 11, 1950 in Beaver Utah. He passed away May 24, 2001. Together they raised 6 children starting in Beaver then moving to Springville in 1960. Mom was also a second mother to her younger twin brothers. Together Mom and Dad supported their children in all their academic and sporting activities. As a family they enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Mom would like to be remembered as having 30 years of being involved in Cub Scouts and was also the very first school crossing guard in Springville. She worked for Sears for over 30 years and still got together monthly for her Sears luncheon. In recent years she spent many fun times meeting with and traveling with the Springville Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her children Paula (Paul) Nelson, Greg (Kristine), Talene, Russell (Julie), Jeff (Brenda), Mike (Michell) and her two brothers Keith (Laurie), and Kevin (Sherrie), 21 grandchildren, p30 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother Paul Jr., one grandson, and a great granddaughter.
Graveside services will take place Monday, October 23, 2017 at 12 Noon in the Utah Veterans Cemetery with a visitation held one hour prior to the services.  In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
