Jay enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.  He was a great storyteller and entertained the grandkids with many tales.  He always had a project going and could fix anything.
His grandsons remember his sharp whiskers and knuckle sandwiches.  They also remember the many things they learned from him by the way he lived his life and especially how he treated others.
Jay spent a lot of time helping his parents and his in-law’s, Wilbur and Leona Allan.  While Shirley was so sick, Jay spent every moment taking care of her.
