Joseph Taylor Robbins

October 24, 1929 — February 24, 2018

Dad passed away February 24th from influenza.  He was 88 years old and lived in Springville most of his life.
Born October 24, 1929 to Charles Isaac Robbins and Bessie Little Brown Robbins in Santaquin, Utah. He was born 2 months early and to help him survive he was put in a shoe box near the oven.
From a very young age he learned to work hard.  Work was his ethic for the rest of his life.  He was raised in the depression and had to leave school in the 9th grade to take care of the farm.
He enlisted in the Army during the Korean War as a medic.  He was honorably discharged and returned to Utah, where he met a pretty girl from Springville.
Joseph married Dawn Fullmer and together they had 5 children.  They later divorced.  He spent over 35 years working at The Tooele Army Depot.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, his RV and garage sales.  Donkey Lake was a favorite place to camp.  He was an avid gardener. His posterity enjoyed his delicious vegetables.
Survived by his children: Valerie (Brad) Beacham, James Robbins, Janell (Darrell) Christensen, Salee Paxman.  He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Miriam, Ruth and Lois; brother, Charles; son, Joseph Dee; son-in-law, Robert Paxman; daughter-in-law, Sherrie Carnesecca and granddaughter Amanda Robbins.
He adored his 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with twins due in 1 week.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior at 9:45 to 10:45 at the LDS Church at 400 East 800 South in Springville.  Interment Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Payson Veterans Care Center for their loving care of our father, and long time care givers Sherree Reynolds and Cami Jensen.
