Leon Elliot Fish, 73, of Springville Utah, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and three children on Sunday evening November 27th 2016, in Provo Utah due to complications from respiratory failure.  Leon was born January 13, 1943 to Howard Leon and Bessie Beatty of Toquerville Utah.
Leon lived in Toquerville until the age of 13 when his father was killed in a trucking accident.  The family relocated to St. George Utah.  During his teen years, he was active in student council, musicals, seminary and athletics.  He was a stand-out on the Dixie High football team and lettered in track and wrestling.  He graduated from Dixie in 1960 and joined the National Guard reserve before returning to play football at Dixie College.  He served an LDS mission in Montevideo Uruguay.  Before his mission his family moved to Heber City Utah where he met Connie Lewis.  A year after his mission they were married in the Salt Lake City Temple in 1965.
Leon attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in History. He then began a 34-year career as a special agent with the FBI.  His first assignments were San Antonio and Austin TX.  He was then transferred to Miami FL where their sons Ryan and Brandon were born.  In Miami he served as an LDS bishop.  He was then assigned to the FBI office in Puerto Rico, where he also earned a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice.  In 1975 they were transferred to Safford AZ where there daughter Shannan was born.  In 1979 he received his final transfer with the FBI to Mesa AZ where they made and enjoyed life-long friendships.
After retiring, Leon and Connie moved to Springville Utah in 2005 to be closer to family.  He has always been an active member of the LDS Church where he faithfully served in many callings in the wards and stakes where he resided.  One of his most fulfilling assignments was his service as a worker in the Provo Temple.  He loved his family dearly and was a doting father and grandpa to 11 grandchildren.  He left a lasting bond and special love for each of them that will be forever cherished.
He is survived by his wife Connie, his sons Ryan (Tiffany), Brandon (Kristin), daughter Shannan Hinckley (Spencer) brother Ashley (Marie) Jon B (Shauna) sister Raneva Lemon (John) brother Howard (Vickie) sister Cathi Van Leuven (Jerry) and his 11 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his father and mother, youngest brother Kevin and stepfather Jim Carroll.
