March 24, 1951 — October 12, 2017

Heaven was recently blessed by the passing of a precious angel.  Lynda Faith (O’Driscoll) Ashcraft, age 66, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her adoring family on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her home in Payson, Utah.  Lynda’s death followed a valiant three-year fight with cancer.  Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and love and prayers of family and friends carried her through the final weeks of her mortal existence.

Lynda was born March 24, 1951 to Dorothy Opal Abney and Lynn C. O’Driscoll in Roosevelt, Utah.  As the oldest of four children, Lynda’s love for serving and nurturing others took root at a young age.  She graduated from Kearns High School in 1969, and briefly attended Brigham Young University before marrying Don M. Lynda was also known for her creativity and artistic abilities.  She loved writing music, poetry, and calligraphy.  She also enjoyed writing and performing historical portrayals.  She was an expert at gardening, sewing, and cooking.  She was actively involved in politics and dedicated countless hours to performing her civic duties.  She was also passionate about family history and journal writing.

Lynda was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in numerous callings throughout her life.  She enjoyed being a service missionary with her husband in the Records Operations Center in Orem, Utah.  She also loved serving as a temple worker in the Provo and Payson temples.

Lynda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Don M. Ashcraft; her children Ryan Christian Ashcraft (Robyn) of Bluffdale, UT, Nathaniel D Ashcraft (Amy) of Highland, UT, Crystal Eileen Nyman (Jeffrey) of Kaysville, UT, Michael Lloyd Ashcraft (Geniel), of Saratoga Springs, UT, Camille Irene Barnum (Shawn), of Santaquin, UT, Joshua Kimball Ashcraft (Torrence), of Salt Lake City, UT, and Miriam Elizabeth Pinon (Ricky), of Santaquin, UT.  Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, her siblings Rebecca Young, of Colorado, Michael O’Driscoll, of Utah, and Jeffrey O’Driscoll, of Colorado.
