Maurine Spratling Beardall

Maurine Spratling Beardall passed away peacefully on July 16, 2015 in Price, Utah.  She was born on March 16, 1928 to Allan Benjamin and Agnes Meyers Spratling and was raised in South Jordan, Utah.  She married Keith E. Beardall on July 17, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Maurine graduated from Jordan High School and Brigham Young University and later taught Home Economics.  She provided hope and joy for many children with special needs and their families in the Heber Valley by spearheading the organization of the Wasatch Training School.

She had a great love for her Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served in teaching and leadership capacities in Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society.  Maurine had a great love for family history and devoted much of her adult life to this work.  She was also an artist and well known for her oil paintings of landscapes and flowers.

She loved and cherished her husband and family.  She is survived by her 4 children, Sharlene Beardall of Price, Larry (Laurie) Beardall of Sandy, Peggy (Bob) Fox of Rock Springs, Brenda (Ken) Kirkwood of Price, 9 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, a sister Gwen (Robert) Chesworth and a brother John Spratling.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Keith.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church located at 1785 East 400 South in Springville, Utah.  A viewing will be held prior to the funeral at 9:30 a.m.  Interment in the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville.
