Pamela (Barton) Kimball

December 9, 1946 — November 23, 2015

Pamela Barton Kimball, 68, of Springville, Utah, passed away on November 23, 2015. She was born in St. George, Utah on December 9, 1946, the second child of Alma Mason Barton and Barbara Elaine Ray Barton. She was raised in Salt Lake City and graduated from West High School. She then attended Southern Utah University, where she was a music major and met her husband, Wayne Kimball. She and Wayne were married in 1967 in the Salt Lake Temple. Education and employment opportunities then took the family to numerous locations, including New Mexico, Wisconsin, California, Texas, Arizona, and finally back to Utah.
Pamela raised eight children and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in many ward and stake callings.
She had a great love of music and teaching, and taught violin in her home for more than 30 years. She volunteered her time organizing many community concerts, nursing home performances, and church musical numbers. She was a kind, generous, creative person who looked for the good in others.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Wayne; her eight children, Erika Dye (Todd), Wilford Kimball (Hillary), Paula Skarda (David), Abraham Kimball (Serenity), Jacob Kimball (Amanda), Samuel Kimball (Christine), Aaron Kimball (Heather), and Andrew Kimball (CaSaundra); her brothers, David Barton and Donald Barton; and 29 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 27, at the LDS chapel at 1965 Canyon Road, Springville, Utah. The viewing will be held at the church prior to the funeral service, from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm.
