Patrick Edward Lake

Patrick Edward Lake age 69 died November 20, 2016 in Springville, Utah. He was born May 19, 1947 to Vera B. England and Edward C. Lake in Arcata California. He married Sandra L. Scott on September 20, 1975 in Pleasanton, California. On April 6, 1989 he and Sandy were sealed for time and eternity in the Los Angeles Temple after they were converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Pat grew up in Eureka, California and at the age of 18 enlisted in the United States Army and served during 1966-1967. He was very proud of his service. He learned his trade of Lineman while in the service and worked in the Cable Construction Industry throughout the US for over 47 years retiring in March of 2014. He took up hiking after retirement. He loved to work in the garage and "Magyver" to fix things. He was a loyal friend - if you were lucky enough to know him you were a friend for life. He loved his children and taught them the work ethic they all have. He was strong, funny, sarcastic and a tease. He especially loved his grandchildren. He loved to "tickle the toe toes" of the babies. Many fond and happy memories of family vacations mostly to Hawaii are remembered.
He is survived by his wife Sandy, son Jeff (Jenny), son Jake (Jessica) daughter Tricia (Tracy) and daughter Melissa (Tyler). He is also survived by his greatest joy 7 (soon to be 9) Grandchildren: Lilly Lake, Jace Lake, Bryan Lake, Haley Lake, Connor Lake, Adalynn Lake, and Kendall Ball. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and sister, and his grandson Cooper Lake.
The family would like to thank Intermountain Hospice especially Dr. Kesler, Margret his nurse and Marsha his aid for the care that he received during the last month of his life. Also the many ward members and family friends for their love and support.
A memorial service of his life will be celebrated November 29th at 11:00 am. in the Hunters Valley Chapel located at 950 South 1700 East, Springville, Utah 84663. A private family service at grave site to follow.
