Raymond Paul Lloyd

June 22, 1979 — March 24, 2017

Raymond Paul Lloyd, the “BoyWonder,” was born June 22, 1979.  He left this world on March 24, 2017.  Ray leaves behind his dad John Lloyd; his mom and dad Charlotte and Kevin Mackley; his sisters Phoenix and Kiah; his sister and brother-in-law Jennifer and Aron Biskey; his nieces Natalie and Eden; his beautiful children Kaleb and Kara Hyde; Brenna Baker; Kinley and Scarlett Hardy.  Ray also leaves a grandma, aunts, uncles, and many cousins and friends who love and will miss him.

Ray attended Springville High School, where he was in the band and marching band.  He enlisted in the US Army Reserves after he graduated, where he served for seven years, half of that on active duty.  He served a two-year mission for the LDS Church in Fiji.

Ray was a sweet boy, who enjoyed playing with cars, watching He-Man, and he was in love with Rainbow Bright. He enjoyed video games, and spent several months trying to beat Super Mario Bros (which he did!).  At 11 he started playing the saxophone, and played all the way through high school.  From that he developed a great love for all kinds of music.  He loved to read and could lose himself in any book.

Ray loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed camping, biking, rock climbing, fishing, and taking a walk in the neighborhood.  He worked in the kitchen of a rehab center for a few years and that was his favorite job.  He loved to cook, and there he could experiment as he made the meals.  Ray especially loved to be with his friends and family, going to movies and concerts, or just hanging out.

Ray was kind, fun-loving and caring, with a heart full of compassion.  He was a friend to everyone.  Reading posts on his Facebook page, it is easy to see that he had such an impact on everyone who knew him.  We are thankful for Ray having been a part of our lives, and for the memories that we can hold on to.

Raymond Paul made life bright for those around him.  May he rest, freed from his earthly demands, until we meet again.
