Robert Raymond Reding

Robert (Bob) Reding our loving husband, father, papa, son and friend passed away surrounded by those he loved most from complications of leukemia. He was born on a beautiful summer day 58 years ago to Clarence and Carol Jane Reding in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. He was later loved and raised by Frank and Merilee Kleckner. He married his eternal sweetheart MaryAnn and was sealed to his family in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Bob lived his life to the fullest, every day was an adventure to enjoy. He loved competing in most sports. He came to Utah to ski and fell in love with the mountains and never left.  His passions were Motocross with his son, camping, cruising, traveling, diet pepsi, golf, and gardening. He loved to work. He had a work ethic that most were envious of and bosses praised him for. Although he loved staying busy and being outdoors he found the most pleasure in just being with his sweetheart MaryAnn, his children and grandchildren. His family truly was the light of his life and certainly got him through some very hard times. He was a loyal and true friend, a loving and caring husband, a proud and dedicated father and the most fun papa anyone could dream of having.

Bob was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a deep love for his savior and was proud of his eternal family. He had a tremendous testimony which could be felt by all those around him.

Bob was diagnosed with Leukemia almost 10 years ago and fought with passion and courage. He was fortunate enough to receive a successful bone marrow transplant a year ago. We are deeply indebted to his donor Theresa for her gift of another year of life that Bob got to spend with his family. Most of Bob's friends and family were in awe of his fighting spirit, determination, and motivation to become healthy again all while remaining positive, humble and kind. This was a hard struggle but rarely did anyone see him without a smile and deep gratitude for those who helped on this journey. He was a true hero to all those that have known or met him but to his wife and family he was the love of their lives.

Bob is survived by his faithful wife MaryAnn and his children, Steve (Jenny), Keayra (Ericson), Kapree (Cody), and Koltan (Kathryn). His grandchildren Kaicee, Millie, Jaxson, Rylee, Gram and Ryker who will miss him more than words can say and promise to make him proud. His brother Rick (Teresa) and father Frank. He also loved Tracey, Mike, Shawn and Kiley.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hobble Creek West Stake Center 555 South Averett Ave (600 East) Springville, UT. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at Wheeler Mortuary 211 East 200 South Springville and Wednesday at the church prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Huntsman Cancer Hospital and all the Doctors, nurses, aids and other staff that work so tirelessly to save Bob's life.
