William Dale Osborn

July 24, 1931 — July 25, 2016

Dale Osborn, loving husband, father, grandfather and teacher, passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 25, 2016. Dale was born on July 24, 1931, in Eureka, Utah to John and Dona Osborn, and raised in South Gate, California. He married Glenda Darling on Aug 20, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have 6 children.

He served an LDS mission to the Eastern States Mission followed by military service in the Army during the Korean War. He attended BYU and received his BS and Masters in Education. He was a beloved teacher at Grant School Elementary in Springville, Utah for 32 years and continued to volunteer after his retirement at the school for several more years. He was the favorite teacher of many students.

He was a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ serving in various LDS church callings. He has a firm testimony of Jesus Christ and a thorough knowledge of the scriptures. He served a mission with his wife in the Thailand Bangkok Mission. He loved the outdoors, hiking, camping and playing games with his family...Always by the rules!

He is survived by his wife, Glenda, his children: Nedra (Brent) Bingham, Spanish Fork; Nancy (Darrell) Simonsen, Springville; Todd (Katherine) Osborn, Springville; Stephen (Cristina) Osborn, McKinney, Texas; Angela (Ron) Terry, Payson; Wendy (Jon) O'Keefe, Highland. Sisters, Carol Nelson, Springville and Renae Ogden, American Fork. He has 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.

Special thanks to Richard, Kiley and all the wonderful staff members at Seasons of Santaquin and to Dena of Utah Home Health and Hospice for the special attention and care given to him.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, July 30th, at 11 am at the Hobble Creek 13th Ward Chapel at, 555 S Averett Ave, Springville, Ut.  All wishing to pay their respects may do so at a viewing held Friday evening July 29th at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville, Ut. from 6-8pm. and for one hour before the funeral services on the 30th. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.
