Allie LaRue (Graham) Stapleton

Allie LaRue Graham Stapleton passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 26, 2017 at the age of 82.

Allie was the seventh of eight children born to Maitland Graham and Marcella Lasson Graham on December 13, 1934 in Fairview, Utah.  She attended North Sanpete High School in Mount Pleasant and graduated in 1953.

After high school Allie enrolled at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where she met and married William (Bill) Stapleton on December 28, 1955.  Bill and Allie had five sons and one daughter.  All five of her sons served full time missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS).

Allie enjoyed sports, bowling, reading, and crocheting. She was an active member of the LDS Church.  Allie served in numerous church capacities including a counselor in the Relief Society, president of the Primary organization, and as a temple worker.

Allie is survived by five children: Allen (Ronda), Brian (Shauna), David (Barbara), Susan (Jim) McKinney, and Daniel (Lynda) Stapleton. She was preceded in death by her husband William Stapleton, a son Brent (Shanti) Stapleton, and a granddaughter Melissa Stapleton. Allie has a total of 24 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the LDS Heritage Chapel, 1785 E. 400 S., Springville, UT on Tuesday, September 5th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S, Springville, UT on Monday, September 4th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and also at the church one hour prior to the services on Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Provo City Cemetery.
