Charlotte Christina Mueller (Chuckie) Gray, age 91, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 of causes incident to age. She was a resident of Mapleton, Utah at the time of her passing. Charlotte was born to Fredrick & Ida (Klentz) Mueller on November 14, 1925 in Norfolk, Nebraska. She was the youngest of 11 children and had a deep and abiding love for her parents and each of her siblings. As a child she enjoyed the outdoors, swimming, baseball, and ice skating.
She attended elementary schools in Oakdale, Newman Grove, and Stanton, Nebraska. She graduated from Stanton High School in 1944, where she was active in clubs, cheerleading, and sports.
Upon graduation, she traveled to Nampa, Idaho, where she entered schooling under the Cadet Nursing Program and became a registered nurse, working many years in that field.
While in Idaho, she met her lifelong companion and sweetheart, Bobbie Keith Gray. They were married in Blackfoot, Idaho on September 8, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah Temple on August 29, 1972.
Bob and Chuckie were the parents of four children. Bob (Nancy) Gray – Springville, Utah, Michele (Mike) Lundell – Jacksonville, Florida, Jeff (Becky) Gray – West Jordan, Utah, and Steven (Shanna) Gray, Santaquin, Utah.
Chuckie was a talented seamstress. She loved decorating her home, gardening, and canning her produce. She was wise and witty with a wonderful sense of humor, a good friend, and caring mother. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by all of her children, 22 beloved grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and a special sister, Irma Watts Mueller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, her parents, and her siblings Bill, Rudy, Helen, Harry, Red, Dorothy, Dick, Allie, Edna, Bucky, and half-brother Carl.
A viewing will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at the Wheeler Mortuary at 211 E. 200 South, Springville, Utah. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 11:00 AM at the LDS Chapel located at 1051 N. 300 West, Mapleton, Utah. Visitation will precede services from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM.
