Dorothy (Foote) Francom

Dorothy Foote Francom passed away October 24, 2018 in Provo, Utah, at the age of 90.

She was born in Nephi, Utah, May 11, 1928 to Emerson Riley Foote and Harriet LaVera Jensen Foote. She spent her childhood in Nephi and graduated from Juab High School in 1946. She married her high school sweetheart, Earl R. Francom, June 24, 1947 in Nephi, Utah after he returned from military service where he served in post-war Germany.

They made their permanent home in Springville, Utah, where they raised their children. Dorothy and Earl and their family were sealed together in the Manti Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints August 29, 1962. She always served the people in her Church energetically and with love.

Dorothy loved her roses and irises and every growing and blooming thing!  Kindness was the hallmark of her life. Family was her focus and gave her purpose and meaning.

She loved her dear husband Earl, who preceded her in death May 13, 2002 and longed to be with him. She loved making quilts for her children and every grandchild.

She loved her family and was devoted to her husband and children throughout her life.

Dorothy married Virgil Alvin Copeland, May 21, 2004. They spent 6 years together until his death July 8th, 2010.

Dorothy is survived by her four children: Wayne E. (Suzanne), Ronald L. (Nedra), Debra Hough (Bruce), John R. (Heidi), 28 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren, and her sister, Irene Bosh. Preceding Dorothy in death are her sisters, Cathern, Luella, and Margie.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at 11 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 1555 N. 1350 West, Provo, Utah. There will be a viewing held Sunday, Oct. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 South, Springville, Utah, and at the church on Monday one hour prior to the services.
