Jacqueline Lott (Tomsick Sorensen) Card

Jacqueline (Jackie) Tomsick Sorensen Lott Card passed away comfortably on February 10th surrounded by her loving family. She was 85.

Jackie was born on March 7, 1933 in Los Angeles, California to Mildred Underwood and John Tomsick. Mildred and Jackie eventually returned to Mildred's home in Mammoth, Utah to be closer to family. Mildred later married Steele Howard Sorensen (Cupe), and Jackie became the light of his life.

Jackie loved being raised in Mammoth surrounded by her cousins, the mountains and lots of adventures; she was a tomboy at heart. The family later moved to Springville where she graduated from Springville High in 1951. During her high school years, she was active in twirling and sewing; she also made beautiful friendships that continued throughout her lifetime.

In 1952, she married Jerry M. Lott and together they had four children: Craig, Todd, Becky and Chad. Jackie and Jerry were married for 22 years and created many great memories together. They later separated, and on March 25th, 1976, Jackie married Richard L. Card. Rick came with two sons, Wayne and Bob, both of whom she adored. In 1977, Jackie received her cosmetology degree, which brought her great joy. At 80 years old, she was introduced to 6 half-brothers who lovingly embraced their big sister and gave her love, laughter and kindness beyond measure.

Jackie was creative and made everything around her more beautiful. She loved photography, gardening, painting, and renovating and caring for her home. Her sense of humor was contagious to the very end. She loved her family and friends dearly, and was dearly loved in return. We will miss her strength and love for all of our remaining days, but we are happy she is now with the remarkable people who went on before her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Steele and Mildred (Underwood) Sorensen, John Tomsick and her half-brother Stuart Tomsick. She is survived by her husband Rick; her brothers John, Albert, Lee, Edward. Leroy, and Ronnie Tomsick; her children, Craig Lott, Todd (Patrica) Lott, Rebecca (Kenneth) Casper. Chad Lott, Wayne (Pam) Card, Bob Card; her 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday February 16th at Wheeler Mortuary in Springville at 11:00 am. A viewing will precede the service at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville. A luncheon will follow at the Kolob 8th Ward in Springville. The family wishes to thank the remarkable staff of Utah Valley Hospital and Intermountain Hospice for their loving care.
