William Christian Heber Houtz

William Christian Heber Houtz was born on January 21, 2000 in Provo, Utah to DeWayne and Jennifer Houtz. William walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 6, 2018 at the age of 18.

He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, brother, and friend. To know William was to know his contagious smile and infectious laugh. William had a tremendous capacity for love and was known for saying the only thing he wanted in life was for his family and friends to be happy. William loved everyone unconditionally. He always knew when to call, text, or even just show up. William was fearless and lived his life 100 percent true to himself without any regrets. William had a passion for motorcycles, art, photography, computers, and anything he could work on with his hands.

William’s desire was to dedicate his life in the service of law enforcement by working in the juvenile system. His ultimate goal was to help save the lives of kids who might not otherwise have a chance. William will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

William is survived by his parents, DeWayne and Jennifer (Hickman) Houtz of Springville, Utah; his brothers, Jonathan and Noah; sisters, Natasha (Payton) Seamons and Rebecca; nephew, Nolan; and numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. William’s life could not be saved for the Lord had better plans for him in store.

His funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel located at 1050 South 1700 East Springville, Utah. Viewings will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 11th at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South Springville, Utah and Friday, October 12th from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church.  Condolences may be sent at www.wheelermortuaries.com
