Alfred Anderson Lee

July 29, 1933 — April 15, 2018

Alfred Anderson Lee of Springville, Utah passed away peacefully at Utah Valley Hospital on April 15th after a brave fight with an illness. He was born July 29, 1933 in Los Angeles, California to Alfred Simpson Lee and Maria Anderson Lee.
Alfred graduated from Provo High School in 1951. He received an award for All- Around Athlete that same year. After graduating, he joined the Air Force and was trained to be a fighter pilot and served in Japan.
He married Nancy Westergard and they had two children; Kevin (Susan) Lee and Kyle (Debi) Lee. They later divorced. He married Vicki Killpack Brown in Springville on January 21, 1972. She brought two children to the marriage; R. Todd (Camille) Brown and Michelle (Chris) Braun. Together they had three more children; Candice (Larry) Christensen, Heather (David) Hickenbotham, and Clorinda (Mike) Pettersson. They have 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He continued his love of flying and worked for the FAA as an air traffic controller for 34 years. He retired in 1994. Alfred had a love of the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family camping and fishing. He also enjoyed golfing, reading and photography and was an avid BYU fan. He enjoyed many trips to Laguna Beach with this sweetheart.
His loving wife Vicki of 46 years his seven children and his grandchildren who adored him will miss him dearly. He is also survived by his sister Donna (Cloy) Johnson of Orem and brother-in-law Steve Clark also of Orem. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Linda Clark.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 21st at 11:00 AM at the LDS chapel 860 E. 200 N., Springville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday at Wheeler Mortuary 211 E. 200 S., Springville and also on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the church prior to the funeral services. Interment will be held at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery with Military rites by the VFW.
