Beverly Parrish Davenport, 84, of Mapleton, Utah, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 9, 2026.
Beverly was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 30, 1942. She was the second child of the late John and Ruth Parrish. She attended Utah State University and received a degree in Business Education.
She met and then married the love of her life, Alan Davenport on July 20, 1964 in the Logan Temple. They enjoyed 62 years of joy together. In addition to her loving husband, Beverly was blessed to have five children: James (Vanessa), Katherine (Keola) Niemann, Jennifer (John) Thurow, Michael (Jessica), and Lisa (Jason) Gray. She has 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Beverly surrounded herself with music. Not only did it bring joy to her life, but it brought joy into the lives of those she loved. She shared her talents in church as a Primary pianist, a Ward organist, and a Stake and Ward music Coordinator. She taught many students over the years. She and her loving husband served a 2-year BYU Pathway Mission in Maryland. They spent a great deal of time serving in the Washington D. C. Temple of the Lord as workers and shift coordinators. These were the greatest passions of her life. A true artist, she embraced all things artistic. She grew a bountiful garden and spent time sketching the beautiful world around her.
In creating a rich life for her family, she was truly the CFO of the Davenport Family Enterprises. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She taught them the joys of hard work and enjoying the beautiful world in which we live. In addition to her job with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the United States Government was fortunate to have her work for the National Park Service as a Legislative Specialist for 12 years. When she left that position, she had her name read before Congress as a thank you for her service.
Her greatest joy was her family. She poured all of her energy into the lives of those around her. She had a deep and abiding love for our Lord and Savior. She brought that love into all aspects of her life.
