Brooke Ida Mattinson Smith, 46, of Payson and Mapleton, passed away November 14th, 2025. She was born February 21st, 1979, in Payson, Utah to her loving parents Terry Lee Mattinson and Helen Elinor Robinson Mattinson. She married Terry Lee Smith and created a family and had two beautiful children, Dylan and Alexis. Recently Brooke found new love with John George.
Brooke loved to craft gifts for her loved ones. She enjoyed sewing, patching holes and making something helpful to improve someone's day
She loved being creative and forming everlasting relationships. Because of that Brooke helped make peoples days brighter and formed a great and loving community with her mother, Helen, at the family hair salon. At the salon Brooke did nails and her mother did their clients hair. With Brooke’s limitless love to give, she later on naturally found herself working with assisted living and caring for others. She found this calling and worked hard to achieve her CNA.
Growing up, Brooke played softball for Springville highschool and travelled all over with her mother to play the sport and make memories. She also loved to be close with her beautiful friends and big family, so she can cherish and care for them. Brooke also got in enough mischief with her loved ones, to tell many fun stories to her two children, that she cherished the most in this universe.
Brooke always made the most wonderful food that warmed any heart because she made everything with all her love and care. She loved people unconditionally within her community, church, friends, family, and most of all her children. Brooke is the embodiment of what it means to love and care for others, to hold those who are close to our hearts forever and always.
She is survived by her two children Dylan Terry Smith (26), and Alexis Vivian Smith (21). Her mother, Helen Elinor Robinson Mattinson (81), and her siblings Dale William Mattinson (60), and Suzanne Lavern Mattinson Irvine (55). She was preceded in death by her father Terry Lee Mattinson.
Brooke's children are everything to her. The amount of love she has for them has no bounds and is eternal.
