Carol Jean Heaton Eves, 86, of Springville, Utah, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel on 1965 East Canyon Road, Springville, Utah. Viewings for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 11 at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, Utah and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in the Historic Springville City Cemetery.

Carol Jean was born Feb. 22, 1936 in St. George, Utah. Daughter of Merrill and Afton Heaton. She was raised in Alton, Utah. She graduated from Valley High school in Orderville, Utah. She later obtained a technical degree and license in the field of radiologic technology from Utah Valley Hospital in Provo Utah.

About the time she completed her technical degree, she met and fell in love with Wendell A Eves. They were married in the Manti Temple on August 8, 1959. They eventually settled in Springville where they raised their 7 daughters.

Carol Jean worked for a time at Utah Valley Hospital but spent most of her career working for BYU in their Student Health Services. She retired from BYU in 2001.  In 2012 –2013 Carol was able to fulfill her dream of serving a mission with Wendell for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in Oakland/San Francisco Mission at the Family History Center near the temple in Oakland. She loved her experiences there with dad and being able to serve the Lord.

She was always willing to receive family and guests into her home and loved to feed them and care for them. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her brother Richard and sister Marjorie, daughter Sondra (Kent) Meeks, and granddaughter Jessica Ann Warnick.

She is survived by her husband Wendell A Eves, and daughters; Shellie (Kent) Warnick, Sherry (Craig) Michelsen, Shirley (Eduardo) Paz, Sheryl (Jason) Vernon, Shauna Eves, Shannon (James) Farrer and many Grandchildren and Great grandchildren.
