Clint Roger Valdez

Clint Roger Valdez, of Provo, Utah died May 18, 2007. He was born August 17, 1993 in Provo, Utah, to Roger and Rebecca Valdez.



Clint was a special child who enriched other's lives through knowing him. He was born 4 months premature weighing only 1 lb. 7 oz. He was not expected to live more than three days. With a valiant spirit and loving family Clint was able to enjoy an extended, happy life.



He was a fighter. Clint had many challenges throughout his life, but he faced them all with a kind, loving nature and sweet disposition. Although he appeared frail, he possessed strength, perseverance, the ability to overcome incredible odds and physical trials. His courage was an example to all, reminding us each day what a blessing he was.



Clint never talked or used sign language, but was able to communicate his thoughts and feelings through other means. Taking pleasure in simple things, he loved bright lights, vivid colors, and music. He could spend hours playing with his favorite toys, cuddling with Mom, or watching ball games with Dad. Clint was always smiling, even through the most difficult times. He possessed a smile so infectious that you couldn't help but join in.



Clint is survived by his loving parents, Roger Valdez of Springville Utah and Rebecca Valdez of Provo Utah; Paternal grandparents Larkey and Connie Valdez of Mapleton Utah; Maternal grandmother Barbara Davis of Springville Utah. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Clyde Davis of Genola Utah.



Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville. An hour viewing will precede the services at 10 a.m. There will also be a viewing held Tuesday evening, May 22, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary.
