With heavy hearts we announce the death of our mother Connie Medved Dalton of Springville Utah, who passed away at her home on October 8, 2023 at the age of 91. What a wonderful reunion it will be to be reunited with her husband JD. She was very blessed to be surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her passing.
Connie Medved Dalton was born March 29, 1932 to Jacob Jack and Mary Strakey Medved. Connie came into this world as an identical twin. Connie and Colleen were born at home one minute apart in their farm home in Mapleton Utah. Connie was the youngest of the two. Many fond memories have been shared over the years growing up on the Medved Farm.
She married the love of her life JD Dalton on October 13, 1951. She was a devoted wife and mother of four girls and two boys. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 28,1980.
Mother loved gardening, cooking and baking, sewing, scrapbooking, writing poems, reading, collecting books and camping. She loved being with her family and friends. Her and JD loved to go dancing together. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had many church callings, one of her favorites was serving in the Relief Society Presidency. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband JD Dalton, her parents Jack and Mary Strakey, daughter Linda Durrant, son, Dennis Jay Dalton, granddaughters Stacy Jo Hargis, McKell D. Dalton, grandson Colby Dean Hargis, sons in-law Klair Durrant and Sherald Thomas, siblings, Frank, Walter, Jacob, Matthew, Andrew, Anthony, Fred, Josephine and twin sister Colleen.
She is survived by Pamela Thomas, Jodi (Chuck) Hargis, Bob (Danalyn) Dalton, Julie (Marc) Nixon, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The Viewing will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10:30-11:30am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints meeting house at 55 N. Main in Springville, Utah. The Funeral will follow at the same location at 12:00pm. Interment will be at the Springville City Cemetery 200 W. 400 S. Springville, Utah.
