Darrell Webb Bickmore

June 20, 1929 — August 12, 2017

Our loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Darrell Webb Bickmore, received his angel wings on August 12, 2017. Darrell was born June 20,1929, to William Kenneth and Verda Elizabeth Webb Bickmore in Richmond, UT. Darrell was raised in Utah and Idaho. He graduated from high school in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Darrell was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served a full-time mission to Denmark. He could still speak, understand and read Danish. Darrell earned a Bachelor of Accounting degree from BYU. While attending BYU, he met his future bride, the lovely and witty, Miss Dorothy Fackrell. Their marriage was solemnized for time and all eternity on the 9th of June, 1953 in the Manti, Utah temple.

After his first child, Steve, was born he drafted into the United States Army for two years and was sent to Germany. While he was stationed in Germany, Dorothy and Steve were able to visit.

Darrell settled his family in Springville, Utah, where he took pride in his beautiful garden, while trying to find ways to keep the deer out.

He taught his kids it was alright to get dirty, but he reminded them of the times to clean up. Darrell was a great supporter in his children and all their endeavors. He loved spending time with them and their families.

After just twenty-six days of separation, Darrell joined his true love to continue their life together in eternity. There to greet him on the other side of the thin veil with open arms are his loving wife, Dorothy, his parents, a brother, Kenneth Lowell Bickmore and a great-grandson, Weston Baker. He leaves behind his children, Steve (Peggy) Bickmore, Ken (Cyndi) Bickmore, Debbie (Chuck) Senn and Ron Bickmore.

A viewing will be held at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM. The funeral will be held on Saturday August 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the LDS Chapel at 1965 E. Canyon Rd. in Springville. There will be a viewing held at the chapel 1 hour prior to the funeral.
