David Dvorak Harrison

David Dvorak Harrison, 86, of Discovery Bay, California passed away August 21, 2026. He was born January 19, 1940 in Washington, DC to Robert Benjamin Harrison and Ann Dvorak Harrison. He was married to Jan Christine Staff. She preceded him in death on August 21, 2011. Remarkably, exactly 15 years earlier to the day.

Dave lived a full and active life. His love of airplanes and flying led to a career as a commercial pilot, flying as Captain for many years. In his younger years he was very active in sports, playing football and basketball. He loved to water ski, snow ski, fish and pheasant hunt. A little later in life he took up golf. He enjoyed travelling and enjoyed many cruises with the Grey Eagles. Dave had numerous friends. He remained close to many from his high school days. He will be missed by the family and friends he's left behind but greeted with joy by his family and friends he now joins.

David is survived by his niece Deanna (Doug) Williams of Salem, UT; his nephew Ken (RaeLyn) Harrison of Sahuarita, AZ; his dear friend, sister by choice Cynthia (Arthur) Pearson. He was preceded in death by his wife and brother.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Springville City Cemetery.
