David LeRoy Keim

July 1, 1943 — August 13, 2019

David L. Keim also known as Dave, Davie, and Sprocket passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2019.
He was born in Ainsworth, Nebraska July 1, 1943 to Dale A. Keim & Lucille E. Keim. He lived in Mapleton, Utah for the past 40 years.
He served as a proud Veteran in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963. He served on an LST ship which hauled soldiers and their equipment into the Viet Nam area.
Dave also has been a proud member of the American Legion Ferron Post #42 for 28 years. He also belonged to the VFW of Springville in the past.
He worked at Geneva Steel as a Millwright & a Maintenance Supervisor before retiring. If the shop didn't have the part and the deadline was on, Dave could fabricate something that would work and save the day!
He loved working on old cars and his motorcycle's until he had a horrible motorcycle wreck causing him to hang up his wrenches which broke his heart and his body.
Before his accident he loved to go camping, hunting, going to the Dunes and riding his buggy that he had built. Dave had a race horse," Kozy Nite", and he took him to Evanston to run and he was a Winner many times until he got hurt too. He and Jan & spouses went to Wendover & Mesquite many times & we had lots of fun in the good old days!
Dave is survived by his wife Denise, his Dad, Dale Keim, Provo, Son, Chad Keim, Mapleton, Sister, Jan (Red) Hess: Ferron, Utah.
