May 5, 1935 — April 9, 2021

Springville

Douglas W. Dixon passed away on April 9th, 2021.  Doug was born in Provo, Utah on May 5th, 1932 to parents Arnold Dixon and Letitia May Banks Dixon.  He attended schools in Provo, graduated from Provo High School, and then attended BYU where he met the love of his life, Helen Konopelski.  Their courting was interrupted by an LDS mission call to the Western Canadian Mission.  Upon Doug’s mission release, he returned to Provo, and soon thereafter, he raised for children, Karen, Michelle, Todd and Kurt.

During his school years, Doug worked part-time for D.T.R. furniture company and Ariel Davis Mfg.  In his professional years he worked for Fred Markham architect, and later with his brother, Bruce Dixon Architects.  After Doug’s brother retired, he and a colleague Robert Walker formed Fox CAD Company which contracted with Ken Harris Architect to perform architectural drafting services for the Harris Company.

Doug enjoyed gardening and other outdoor activities.  He was a faithful member of the LDS Church.

A viewing will be held at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville on Tuesday, April 13th from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. followed by funeral services at Noon.  Graveside dedication will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah.
