Douglas Laurence Wheeler, A Life Full of Laughter and Love

Douglas Laurence Wheeler, 74, of Springville, Utah, embarked on his final journey on June 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a deep connection to his community. Born in Provo, Utah, on March 13, 1951, to Samuel and Ethel Wheeler, Doug was a man who truly enjoyed the ride, both on and off the road.

A lifelong enthusiast of trucks, motorcycles, and cars, Doug loved the rumble of an engine and the stories that came with every mile. He delighted in sharing these tales, often mixing them with mischievous anecdotes of the havoc he and his siblings would create in their younger days. Doug was his grandkid’s biggest fan, always there to support them at their dance concerts and sports games. His dedication to his family knew no bounds; he never hesitated to help them out at any cost. One of his most memorable traits was his infectious belly laugh, a sound that could light up any room and bring a smile to every face.

Beyond his family and vehicles, Doug found immense satisfaction in his weekly Rotary Club meetings. These Wednesdays were a highlight, filled with cherished friendships and dedicated service to Springville City, a cause close to his heart. At the center of Doug's world was his beloved wife, Kristeen (Kris) Lee Wheeler. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership.

Doug will be dearly missed by his wife, Kris; and his bonus-sons, Trenton Pickett and Travis (Kali) Pickett; his grandchildren, Milo and Zoey; and his siblings, Sharon, Connie, Pat and Joe. He joins his parents, Samuel and Ethel, in eternal rest.

Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Monday, June 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wheeler Mortuary in Springville.
