Drusilla Warner Small, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, in Springville, Utah, at the age of 82. She was born on September 4, 1943, in American Falls, Idaho, to Glenn and Leah Warner. She was sealed to her sweetheart David Joe Small on June 4, 1964, in the Idaho Falls, Idaho LDS temple. Dave preceded her in death when he passed on June 11th, 2026.
As the oldest of six children, Drusilla was raised as a farm girl in Weiser and Payette, Idaho. She graduated from Payette High School and after high school studied cosmetology, later attending Brigham Young University. She had many talents, including playing the piano, painting, candy making, sewing and teaching. Drusilla loved music and was a gifted piano teacher for decades. She also served as a ward organist and choir director for many years. Drusilla had a sense of civic responsibility and served in the Utah Association of Women and the American Legion Auxilliary in the Utah Girls’ State program. She also spent several years teaching water aerobics at the Springville Pool.
Drusilla was a devoted mother to LaDonna Backman (Royce), Lyle Small (Brooke), Danny Small (Tammy), Melinda Lawrence (Jim), Derrell Small (Julie), and Glenn Small (Kelly). She was the proud grandmother of 29 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Drusilla was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Leah Warner, and one grandson, Michael Lawrence.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS chapel located at 555 Averett Ave, Springville, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday, August 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary at 211 East 200 South in Springville, and on Saturday just prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
