Elliot Joel Goldman, 75, of Springville, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020. He was born March 6, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, to Jack and Mae Goldman. He married Glenda Jean Bowles on January 9, 1982 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
The family moved to Inglewood, California, when he was 9. He graduated from California State University, Fullerton, majoring in history. He served in the U.S. Navy as a postal clerk on the USS Neches during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW. He enjoyed sports and umpired for the Church and other organizations. He was a black belt in Karate and Aikido and taught martial arts. He was a travel agent and loved to go on cruises. He retired as a security officer for Disney Resorts in Anaheim, California. He was a wonderful husband and grandfather and he loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Elliot is survived by his wife, Glenda, two children: Simon (Wendy Michele) of Springville, Utah; David (Wendy Elizabeth) of Bountiful, Utah; 7 grandchildren, and his brother, Howard, in Mission Viejo, California.
Graveside services with military rites will be held Tuesday, September 1, at 10:00 a.m. at Camp Williams Veterans Cemetery, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah. The family is grateful to the staff Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville (801) 489-6021 for their wonderful service and support. Active Hospice & Home Care were very kind to Elliot in their care.
