Emily Mellor Brown of Springville, Utah passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 after a 3-year courageous battle with breast cancer. She was head strong and fought hard until the very end. She will be deeply missed by her grandma, parents, siblings, children, grandchildren and friends.
Emily was born on April 8, 1977 to Louis Edward “Eddie” and Margo Mellor. She was the youngest of three children.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Emily lived life to the fullest and loved without judgement. Emily’s favorite place to be was at her parent’s property in Fairview surrounded by her family and friends. Emily had too many friends to count, but one who stood out amongst them all was Shelby Martindale, who supported Emily throughout her life. She was a true blessing to her and her family.
Emily graduated from Springville High School in 1995 where she met Mike Brown. It took a few years and four children later before they finally reconnected, were married and had another child to add to their beautifully blended family.
She is survived by her 5 amazing children Alexia Martindale Headman (Caden), Shaylee Dunn (Aaron Myers), Mariah Carter Dalley (Dakota), Tyler Carter and Amanda Brown. Her 3 grandchildren, Miya, Danielle and Liam. Her Grandma Louise Watson, parents Louis Edward “Eddie” and Margo Mellor. And her brother Mark (Angie) Mellor and sister Angie Mellor Bleggi (Mark).
Her graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah followed by a luncheon at the Mapleton Red Church, 1215 North 1000 West, Mapleton. All are welcome to attend.
