With faith and love, we announce that a wonderful husband, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, Erik Edward Anderson, passed away on July 28th, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his wife, Debra & daughter, Dawn. Erik was born on January 23, 1948, to George and Betty Anderson. In 1995, Erik met his eternal partner, Debra Sue Green, and together they built a beautiful blended family. Erik was the best friend and loving husband to his wife Debra. Erik loved all his children, grandchildren & great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Anderson, and his children: Sonja, Melissia (Kendall) Brinkerhoff, Jason Anderson, Dawn (Gage) Gillings, Leif Anderson, Anneli (Jacob) Alvey, Kelly (Mike) Anderson, Amanda (Adam) Lake, Sky Young, William (Sarah) Young, James (Cassie) Young, Winn Holly (Christie). For Erik, his 39 Grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, his children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren brought immense joy in his life.
He is survived by his siblings: Claudia (Lou) Nackos, Judy Anderson, Eileen Younkin, Grey (Kelly) Anderson, Carol (Reed) Harrison, and many nephews and nieces.
Erik was preceded in death by his parents, George and Betty Anderson; his two brothers, George Jr. and David Anderson; his parents-in-law, Otto and Wanda Green; his brother-in-law, Andrew Green; and his sister-in-law, Judy Green.
As a celebration of his life, all those whose lives were deeply touched by Erik are invited to join in attending his services on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. A viewing will be held one hour before the service from 9:30-10:30 am. The service and viewing will be held at the Springville 3rd Ward building, 355 East Center Street, Springville, UT, 84663. After the service, a light lunch will follow for the family.
Special thanks to Intermountain Health Hospice team. Margaret was a great and wonderful nurse who helped guide Debra in taking care of her husband Erik. We also extend our gratitude to the social services team and the chaplain with hospice services. May the Lord bless us all with peace and love.
