Ethel May Lavender Wheeler

May 11, 2007, Mom got her "Impossible Dream" and joined Daddy and other family members on the other side of the veil.



Ethel May Lavender Wheeler was born February 23, 1928 in Garfield, Utah, the first daughter of Ray William Lavender and Fay Konold. She married her sweetheart, Samuel L. Wheeler, Jr. on November 28, 1947. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2000. They were the proud parents of five children: Sharon (Mac) Mathews, Mapleton; Douglas (Kris) Wheeler, Springville; Patricia Thatcher, Payson; Connie (Ed) Dansie, Vernal, UT; and Joseph (Dawn) Wheeler, Milburn, UT. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 36 1/2 great-grandchildren.

Mom was always a passionate reader until her eyes began to fail her and then enjoyed books on tapes and the Game Show Network. She was a member of the LDS Church.



Funeral services will held on Monday, May 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel, 211 East 200 South, Springville. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.



The family would like to extend special thanks to the Harmony Hospice Health Care workers who took such special care of her during the past year, and Florrie Decker who became her good friend and caregiver over the past few months.
