Our beloved mother Florine Weaver, 72, of Springville passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022.
She was born on January 19, 1950, in San Diego, California to Concepcion Ortiz and Jaquin Camacho. She was the greatest joy to them, as well as to her seven brothers. Concepcion oft times worked two jobs and so it became necessary for Flo to become a vital care taker in the lives of those she loved. She tirelessly served and sacrificed with a strong but tender heart. She met the love of her life in her early teens and they married shortly before he was deployed to Vietnam. Flo carried the title of being a Marine's wife with great honor, but no other honor stood close to being married and later sealed in the Los Angeles temple to her "Bobby". They had many adventures together from surfing to Harley’s, softball and yes religion. Her life was one that was filled with love, laughter, hardship, sadness but most importantly hope. Bob and Flo sought after and hoped for a better life for their small family. Their quest led them from California to Utah where they seemed to flourish. Bob had a good secure job that enabled Flo to stay at home and take care of her two girls, Christine and Cynthia. She served in many capacities in the LDS church but always felt her highest calling was that of "mother”. With a new found hope, Bob and Flo knew that their family was not complete and hoped for a miracle which indeed did occur in a son, Stephen. NOW their family was complete, but honestly is it ever really? Bob and Flo went on to see their prosperity grow, some of that journey would be together and then when Bobby passed Flo continued her journey solo. For many years she sat at the head of our family, the beautiful strong matriarch that she was. We, your children: Christine (Jack) Hunt, Cynthia (Scott) Riggs, Steve (Staci) Weaver, along with your 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren (with another on the way) honor you and the legacy you built. We strive to make you proud and cannot wait until we are able to be together again as one big crazy, dysfunctional, fantastically unique family! (one more thing.... I know I speak for all of us, we are so happy for dad but it really really sucks for us. We miss you, and wish you didn't have to go.)
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville.
