Gordon Kay Bills, 73, passed away on May 26, 2026, due to health issues.
Gordon was born April 10, 1953, to Kay E and Jean Stewart Bills. Gordon was the oldest of five children. His siblings are Brenda Bills, Russell Bills (deceased), Kent Bills and Linda (Kirk) Phillips. Gordon was raised in Mapleton and has lived in Boulder, Springville and Hobble Creek Canyon.
Gordon attended Mapleton Elementary School, Springville Junior High and Springville High School. He graduated from Springville High in 1971. Gordon had a great set of friends growing up. His Mapleton friends ran phone lines between their houses so they could talk. He attended many school formal dances and was a friend to many. Gordon loved helping the stage crew with lighting. After high school, Gordon attended UTC and studied welding and later attended UVSC to take a professional driving course. Gordon’s interests were photography, genealogy, traveling, hunting, gathering aluminum cans, visiting with friends and strangers along with helping others.
Gordon is the father of five children: Brad (Kristi) Bills, Jodi McCombs, Jason Bills, Brittany Bills and Kristoffer Bills.
Gordon married Kathy Barker on June 23, 1990. Together they enjoyed camping trips with their family. Every year you could plan on a birthday call from Gordon; he was carrying on the tradition of his Grandpa Bills.
Gordon was a hard and dedicated worker. He took pride in his welding skills. He worked at Barbizon, Ranch Foreman in Boulder, Valtek, DST Trucking, C&A Construction, Provo School District and Lake Shore Motor Coach Lines. He enjoyed all the people he met throughout his working years.
Gordon is survived by his wife (Kathy), his siblings (Brenda, Kent and Linda), his children (Brad, Jodi, Jason, Brittany and Kris) and stepson, Brian (Tasha) Steen. Gordon is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Pete) Winterton, Madison Bills, Aly (Chandler) Christiansen, Camden McCombs, Niklas McCombs, Cyrus McCombs and Elsie McCombs and two great grandchildren: Wade Winterton and Kaycee Winterton. He is also survived by his step grandchildren: Jaxsen, Bryliauna, Mckynli, Emberlin and Stocktyn.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, brother Russell Bills, niece MacKenzie Phillips and his favorite dog Teddy.

Graveside service will be Saturday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.
