Gordon LeRoy Bodily, age 66, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020, in Payson, Utah. He was born March 30, 1953, in Preston, Idaho, to Lawrence Cole Bodily and Mary Henderson Bodily. He was the fifth of six children.
He graduated from Preston High School in 1971. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Minnesota-Manitoba Mission. Gordon graduated from Rick’s College in 1977.
Gordon married his sweetheart, Lynette Marie Roberts, on September 28, 1984, in the Logan Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for time and all eternity. They have four sons.
Gordon loved spending time with his family and working outdoors with his hands. He worked as a groundskeeper for over 20 years at Central Utah Water Conservancy District. He served faithfully in many church callings throughout the years and enjoyed the time he spent serving.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Cole Bodily; mother, Mary Henderson Bodily; brothers, Richard and Merlin; and sister Arlene.
He is survived by his wife, Lynette Roberts Bodily of Spanish Fork, Utah; sons, Kyle (Natasha) of Santa Clara, Utah, Grant (Katherine) of Spanish Fork, Utah, Devin (Candice) of Cedar City, Utah, and Michael of Spanish Fork, Utah; six grandchildren; brother, Robert (Christine) Bodily; and sister, Karen (Ray) Thompson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 10 a.m. in the LDS Chapel at 1167 S. 1700 E., Spanish Fork, Utah. There will be a viewing held Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S., Springville, Utah, and Friday at the church building at 9 a.m. Interment will be in the Whitney Idaho Cemetery.
