Jacob Tyler Rogers

Jacob Tyler Rogers, 22, has tragically passed following a motorcycle accident on Saturday, October 3, 2026. He was born in Poway, California on May 25, 2004, the second child and first son of Chris and Sarah Rogers. His siblings are Lexi Goldsberry, Joe Rogers, and Beth Rogers.

Jacob was a good man who had a passion for life and love for God. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Uruguay Montevideo West Mission, and was studying in the Finance Department at BYU-Provo. In high school, he played trumpet in the marching band, concert band, and jazz band. He especially loved the outdoors, and found peace and a spiritual connection when he was in the mountains.

Jacob loved to laugh, and he loved people. He used humor to lift the burdens of those around him. He was caring, warm, and genuine. His smile could light up a room. He cared deeply for his family, friends, cousins, grandparents, mission companions, mission friends, and roommates. He adored Soldier, his sweet, chunky dog who passed just a few months before him. Jacob believed in eternal life with a Heavenly Father and Mother who love us. We find peace in the faith that we shared with him.

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Matthew 5:6
