Jeannine Minardi McHone died September 23, 2024, at Stonehenge Assisted Living in Springville, Utah, from causes incident to age, with family by her side. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Antonio Paulo Minardi and Margaret Anderson Minardi on July 12, 1939.
Jeannine attended Cheyenne high School in Cheyenne, Wyoming, graduating with the class of 1957. She was married the same year to her High School sweetheart, James Carlton McHone. They moved to California for a few years, then settled down in Arizona. After raising four children, they decided to go their separate ways and Jeannine moved back to her favorite city of Springville, Utah, in 1990 where she remained.
Jeannine attended Scottsdale Community College and graduated with a nursing degree in 1976. She worked in the Operating Room in Arizona and later in Provo Utah, where she retired after 28 ½ years. Jeannine’s favorite things in life were raising her four children, working with the church, reading, cooking and grandchildren. Jeannine loved all kinds of reading from various fiction stories, to comedy books, to fact-based books. One of her favorite past times was to read the encyclopedias (A-Z).
Survived by her daughters Carrie (Duane) Barr of Spanish Fork, Utah, Colleen (Alex) Coronado of Springville, Utah, and Kimberly (Daniel) Herrera of Gilbert, Arizona; Her sister Marilyn (Daniel) Rona; Six grandchildren, Kristine (Eugene) Coleman, Alex Coronado, Toni Coronado, Andrew Coronado, Aric (Camille) Coronado, and Aidan Coronado; and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, her son Jeffrey McHone and grandson Christopher Cantrall.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 27, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1965 E. Canyon Road, Springville, Utah, where friends can visit Friday morning from 11:30 – 12:30 pm. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah.
