Our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend Jennifer Lynn Hayes passed away on March 2, 2026. She was born March 28, 1971, the youngest child of Darwin and Loris Hayes.
She grew up in Springville, Utah. She was a strong woman with a heart of gold. She had a knack for making friends everywhere she went. She had a fun, bubbly personality and a great sense of humor. Her greatest joys in life were always her children and grandchildren, and she always deeply cherished family time. Around the holidays, Mother's Day or her birthday, she never wanted gifts. She would simply state that the best gift she could ever receive is just having all her kids and grandkids together in one place.
Jennifer had a natural gift for caregiving and delivered excellent care to hundreds of elderly and disabled adults in the many years she spent working in long-term care facilities and as a home health aide. She was everybody's favorite. In addition to caregiving for people, she also had a special place in her heart for animals. If somebody was giving away a kitten, you bet she'd bring it home and give it a name. When a good friend needed a home for her two dogs, Jennifer took them in and cared for them for the rest of her life.
She had a passion for the outdoors. At home she loved gardening and doing yardwork. She also loved camping, fishing, hiking, and taking long nature drives with her kids. Family day out was always a drive up the canyon, especially in the fall when the leaves were changing. She was a devoted mother and raised four children mostly on her own and always made them her world and her greatest pride. She was the kind of mother who was known as "mom" to all her kids' friends, and who opened her home to any friend in need of a place to stay or a meal to eat.
She also had a wonderful crafty, creative side. She was always making gifts for her loved ones, friends, and neighbors, or re-decorating her home.
Her father Darwin preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother, Loris; her children Richard, Brandi (Jake), Jackie, and Jason (Bailey); her grandchildren Beau, Kolt, Emery, Brock, and Glen; her Siblings Rob (Connie), Karl (Lynnette), Terri (Scott), David (Marianne), and Tom.
She was a wonderful person who was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
