Jesse Ross Smith

Jesse Ross Smith returned to his Heavenly Father on August 19, 2023. He was born on July 1, 1939 to Ethel and Keele & Curtis Ross Smith.

As a boy he loved having many adventures running through the neighborhood with friends and cousins.

He served a mission to the Southern states mission.  He loved the gospel and loved to share it with others.

He married Juanita Walker, June 27, 1962 in the Salt Lake temple.  They had 5 kids together. Jesse Ross, Jr., (Jane), David Andrew (Jennifer), Sonya (John) Kunz, Holly (Brian) Allen, Michael John Smith. They were later divorced.

He found love again with LaRae Maland.  They were married May 25, 2001 and later sealed in the Logan temple on May 24, 2003. This brought 4 more kids to the family. Bryan (Marilou) Maland, Stuart Maland, Jana Passey, Nikki (Chad) Morris.  Ross had a great love for his family and the gospel. He loved to visit and have family gatherings with great food.  He loved to fish and be outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, his brother Bill, sister Colleen, great grandsons Westen Alex Matthews and Simon Peter Rhoades.

He is survived by his wife LaRae, his sister Maureen June Montque, 66 grandkids and 63 great grandkids.
