Kevin Williams Olson passed peacefully to his heavenly home on Saturday, December 22, 2018, surrounded by his family. Kevin was a fighter, beating Leukemia multiple times, but was unable to win the battle with his failing lungs. Kevin was born (March 27,1953) and raised in Payson, Utah. He met his wife Brenda Mason Olson while working for Spanish Fork, Utah Police Department. He soon transferred to the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP) and enjoyed a 32 year long career working mostly as a Sergeant in Cedar City, Utah. He competed for the UHP Pistol Team at many competitive shooting events enjoying many successes, travels, and friendships. In his retirement Kevin found a passion for ghost-hunting, founding the Southern Utah Paranormal Society. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved everything from fishing, hunting, horseback riding, trapping, rappelling, and camping. More than anything he loved spending time with his 4 kids and 10 grandchildren playing night games, laser tag, Settlers of Catan, and telling jokes that he may have laughed the hardest at.
He is survived by his wife (Brenda), three daughters Bobi Lowe (Kris Newton), Randi Griffith (Cody), Mickel Holder (Bryan), son KC Olson (Jenna), 10 grandchildren and his brother Ernest Olson.
Kevin is preceded in death by his father & mother (Garth and Mildred Olson), brother (Brent Olson), and grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 27, 1:00 pm 555 S Averett Ave at the Hobble Creek W Stake Center in Springville Utah. There will be a viewing from 11:30-12:30 prior to funeral services. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery following the services.
