Linda Elaine Smith

Linda Elaine Jones Smith, of Springville, passed away surrounded by her loved ones and  into the arms of her Heavenly Father Thursday, December 21, 2023. Linda was born on November 10th, 1952, in Milford, Utah to Daniel Frank Jones and Barbara Jean Stoker Jones. Linda was married to Joseph Dean Smith. 

Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, friend, cousin, niece, and daughter. Linda graduated with the Class of 1971 from Springville High School with Honors. She had a scholarship to study accounting at Southern Utah State College in Cedar City and achieved her degree at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico. She worked as a bookkeeper and an accountant. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved spending time with her family and friends and making memories with her Greats. Linda loved arts, crafts, scrapbooking, playing games with the Canterbury West family, and her church ladies. Linda loved admiring the moon, butterflies, and nature, being festive for all holidays, and sharing her collection of treasures.  She found the beauty in every single thing and was accepting of everyone. Linda Elaine was an iconic, beautiful soul and free spirit. She may now guide us as a guardian angel. 

Linda is survived by her brother, Mike (Susan) Jones and her sister, Shauna (David) Summers. Her three children: Kirk (Tracy) Lazenby, Laurel (Josh) Lazenby, and Kelley (Ben) Sedlacek; Her grandchildren Megan (Kaden) Massey, McKayla (Caedon) Wright; Her great grandchildren: Emerson, Eden, Paislee, Asher, Ava Elaine; her nieces and nephews and best friend, Casey Eileen Simmons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe, and brother, Darryl C. Jones.

Cemetery burial at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Cemetery on Friday, April 19th.

Church service at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at Kolob 7th Ward, 840 S 400 E, Springville,  UT
