Mary Jane (Hutchings) Peterson, passed away, September 12, 2016 with her husband and her children by her side. She is survived by her husband, David Peterson, her father-in-law, Wallace Peterson and her children: Kerri (Bard) Hancock, Kimberli (Micheal) Hatfield, Russell (Darcie) Peterson and her 8 grandchildren.
Mary was born on Aug. 8, 1961 in Provo Utah to Rodger & Margie (Warren) Hutchings. She was the oldest of five children. Sisters: Janet (Vou) Lauaki, Karolyn (Glen) Davis. Brothers: Danny (Janet) Hutchings, George (Julie) Hutchings. She was married July 25, 1980 and later sealed in the Jordan River Temple.
Mary Jane loved anything she could kick, throw or hit. She was a great athlete in her younger years. She loved the outdoors, camping, hunting and family reunions. For the past 23 years she has been to Country Jam and loved it and all the great friends she and David made there.
Mary enjoyed quilting, sewing and crochet. Most of her projects were for her grand kids who were the love and joy of her life.
She is proceeded in death by her parents: Rodger & Margie Hutchings, Nephew, Naulivou Átenisi Lauaki and Mother-in-law, Kathryn Peterson.
Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, September 17, at 1 p.m. at the LDS Chapel on 840 S. 400 E. Springville UT. Viewings will be held, Friday, September 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary in Springville at 211 E. 200 S. and 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at the Historic Springville City Cemetery.
