Melissa Deanne (Sanders) Nielsen

Melissa DeAnne Nielsen, 48, of Springville, Utah, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022.  She was born December 24, 1973, in Keflavik, Iceland to Bonnie S. Tidball and Marcus D. Sanders.  She married Kim Nielsen on June 6, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Melissa recently completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology from University of Colorado, Boulder. Her dream had been to obtain an advanced degree in this field.  She was passionate about working with at risk young people at the Encircle Non-profit organization in Provo, Utah.

Melissa is survived by her husband Kim; her parents Bonnie (Steve) Tidball of Bandera, Texas, and Marc (Cathy) Sanders of Austin, Arkansas; her four children: Alexandria (Tres) Britton of San Antonio, Texas; Ryan (Kristin) Nielsen of Tucson, Arizona; Soren Nielsen and Torsten Nielsen of Springville, Utah; and three siblings Marcus David (Betty) Sanders of San Antonio, Texas, Jacqueline Nelson of San Antonio, and John Sanders of San Francisco, California.

Her Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 11:00 am at Wheeler Mortuary located at 211 East 200 South in Springville, Utah.
