Miguel Angel De Leon Fragoso, age 51, of Springville, Utah, died unexpectedly on June 13, 2019, surrounded by family. He was born on May 2, 1968 in Mexico City, Mexico to Susana Fragoso and Domingo De Leon. After serving an LDS mission in Chihuahua Mexico, Miguel graduated with a bachelor's degree in engineering from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Mexico City. He later obtained a master’s degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Brigham Young University. Miguel was a talented software engineer, and at the time of his death was working for Sling Television in American Fork, Utah.
Miguel married Kara Huggard on March 6, 2010 in Logan, Utah. In May 2011, Miguel and Kara welcomed their daughter Suzy. Suzy was the light of Miguel’s life and playing with her was his favorite pastime. Miguel also shared a special bond with his mother whom he called nightly and managed to visit in Mexico City several times a year.
Miguel had a sharp intellect with a special gift for learning languages. With his unique and quick sense of humor, he managed to find something funny in nearly any situation. Miguel will especially be remembered for his kindness and generosity. He had a gentle soul, and whenever he encountered someone in need, he offered assistance..
Miguel is preceded in death by his brother, Luis Valle. He is survived by his wife Kara Huggard, daughter Susana Marie (Suzy), mother Susana Fragoso, and brother Juan Valle. Miguel will be missed by all including his family by marriage which includes parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and many more.
Finally, the family wishes to thank the medical staff in the Neuro Shock Trauma ICU at Utah Valley Hospital for the exceptionally kind and compassionate care they offered Miguel during his time there.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 17, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the LDS Chapel located at 840 South 400 East in Springville. There will be a viewing held at the church from 11:45 to 12:45 prior to the services. Condolences may be sent at www.wheelermortuaries.com
