Patricia Gayle Smith Bartlett aka Mimi graduated from this earthly life on Thursday March 15, 2018 at the age of 78. She now celebrates a life well lived with her best friend and husband Arch Leroy Bartlett who preceded her in death and whom she is now happily reunited with..
Pat is loved and well known as the "life of the party." She lived her life like she was in a broadway musical; complete with frequent laughter, whimsical stories, spontaneous public singing, meaningful life lessons, and leaving those around her feeling happy to be a part of it. And even though she was a librarian at the Springville Public Library for many years, she never did find her "library voice".
In fact, her spirit animal was probably a grizzly bear, because her bellow could be heard for miles around. She was fiercely loyal and protective of her family; kind and nurturing to her offspring; smart and clever; playful and carefree. She always enjoyed a good back scratch and snored loud enough for the whole forest to hear. And, you better not sneak up on her, because if you startled her she might just bite your head off.
Mimi was the type of woman that made you feel loved even when cussing you out. She made any chore a game, turned pain into a party, and fear into a friend. She had a hug that could melt even the hardest of hearts.
She truly did her part to make the world a better and more magical place and her absence will be felt by those of us who are left behind.
She is survived by her son Michael Bartlett; Daughters: Christine (Joe) Childers, Jill (Matt) Bell; Sister: Shirlene (Dick) Peterson; 20 grandchildren and so many great grandchildren that we lost count but whom she cherished and loved.
We will be celebrating her life on Wednesday, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. held in the Hobble Creek 5th Ward Chapel, 1460 East 900 South Springville, Utah. Friends may call at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S Springville, Utah Tuesday March 20th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church Wednesday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.
