Peggy Haacke Snyder

Peggy Snyder passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and family on Thursday, December 7, 2023.  She was born on May 8, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Orson Alfred Haacke and Marguriete Hawkins.  She married Jim Snyder on November 4, 1960, and they were later sealed for Eternity in the Los Angeles Temple.  Peggy grew up and raised her family in Southern California before moving to Utah 23 years ago to be closer to her family.  

Peggy loved the color purple, crafting, scrapbooking, painting, cooking, teapots and throwing tea parties, family reunions, playing cards, watching sports and just being with her family.   She was very proud of her family and they, along with her husband, meant everything to her.  

Peggy enjoyed traveling all over the country supporting her children.  She enjoyed watching her son, Cory, play MLB baseball as well as following Jim around while he played professional baseball and later competitive softball.   She also loved supporting her grandchildren and loved going to their sporting events and activities.   

Peggy loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and said deep down she always knew it was true.   She served in many different capacities.  She cherished the knowledge of eternal families. We look forward to the day we get to reunite with her and live with her for eternity.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Jim Snyder.  Her four sons, Cory (Tina) Snyder, Cary (Leiann) Snyder, Lance (Christy) Snyder and Chad (Angie) Snyder as well as 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, sister, brothers and one grandson. 

A viewing will be held at Wheeler Mortuary, Wednesday, December 13th, from 10:30-11:30 am.  Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm at Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 East 400 South in Springville, where she will be laid to rest.
